Asante Ring

The Asante people, also known as the Ashanti, are an ethnic group primarily located in Ghana, West Africa. They are part of the larger Akan ethnic group and have a rich cultural heritage, known for their strong kingdom and sophisticated social structures. The Asante Empire, which thrived from the 17th to the 19th centuries, was a powerful force in the region, renowned for its military prowess, wealth, and gold trading. The Asante are famous for their vibrant art, including kente cloth weaving, and their traditional ceremonies, such as the enthronement of kings, who are known as Ashantehene. The Asante people have a deep connection to their ancestral traditions and continue to play a significant role in Ghanaian culture.
