Thor or Thunar in Old Saxon is a prominent god in many Germanic mythologies including both Norse and Anglo-Saxon. Known as the god of thunder, storms, and protection he is the son of the god Odin and the earth goddess Jord or Fjörgyn in some sources and is one of the most powerful deities in the Norse pantheon. Thor is famously depicted wielding his hammer Mjölnir which he uses to protect the gods and humans from Jötnar and other threats.

The most famous story in which he is present is the tale of Ragnarök, this story depicts the death of many of the gods including Odin, Freyr, Loki and Thor himself. The story tells of a serious of natural disasters which submerge the world underwater and the mutual deaths of Thor and the world serpent Jörmungandr as they do battle.

This pendant is sized at 20x20mm with a bail able to fit a chain of a 4mm width.

This piece is 100% recycled Sterling Silver also available plated in 18k yellow gold.

It comes with either a 20" silver chain or a 20" leather cord.
